About this years’ Feast Chef:

“Hello, I’m Rupert, a former professional rugby player and life long lover of food. My passion for cooking comes a very close second to my passion for rugby and luckily for me they go hand in hand – you could say I taught myself to cook when I wasn’t at the bottom of a ruck! I’ve played rugby around the world and those times abroad have given me one valuable lesson: wherever you are and whatever culture you are in, food is the one thing you can rely on to bring people together.

Being a professional rugby player meant living with some of the other professional players, so I often had to create big, healthy and filling meals on a budget. My enthusiasm and enjoyment of cooking for the team encouraged me to become more creative and to widen my repertoire. So when I retired from rugby it felt a natural step to move on to buy a cookery school – and Philleigh Way was the result.
Both Philleigh Way and The Cove Cafe are about simple things done well… low effort, high reward….
In a nutshell, I love food. I embrace the challenge that comes with sharing that enjoyment through my cookery school, my community projects and my family life. To have a passion in life is a marvellous thing. I’m so lucky to have it and l look forward to sharing it with you too.”

The first being their Golden Cider, it’s light and delicate and will perfectly compliment the main. After this, their new Cherry and Blackberry Cider, which will balance fantastically with dessert.

Thursday Camping Access 2024

Due to popular demand we have released a limited number of Thursday early camping access tickets, so you can pitch your tent or park up your motorhome without the Friday morning rush!

There will be food vendors and a bar so you can ease into a relaxing nights camping before the festival site opens on Friday at midday. You can arrive from 5pm on Thursday 30th May 2024.

If you are choosing to set up camp on Thursday we ask that vehicles don’t leave until Saturday at the earliest due to traffic flow into / out of the car parks.

The 5 metre bell tents have a zipped in ground sheet and all of the following is included: air mattresses with sheets, lighting, mirror, low level table, bunting inside and out, door mat, welly boot holder, large rug and power to charge your mobile phone and devices, and a name / numbered sign outside so you know which tent is yours.
