TRIBAL VILLAGE

Blacksmiths: Providing 1 to 1 sessions to forge an item (poker, toasting fork, coat hook) with a professional blacksmith.

Willow Crafts: Come and have a go at making crowns, stars or your very own basket from willow.

Pottery: Learn how to use a foot driven kick wheel to create your own bowl, plate or cup.

Drum Workshops: These Interactive samba drumming workshops are so much fun for all ages and all abilities. No drumming experience necessary! We will teach you the basics of being in a samba band and really connect you to the festival.. Come along and feel like a rock star!!
All instruments provided.

Vikings : Morvleydh: The Early Medieval Cornish warband will be taking their corner of the Sanctuary back to the 9th Century. Showcasing life, crafts and combat in Cornwall during this turbulent period when Viking longships prowled the coasts and the Kingdom of Kernow was assaulted by the Saxons of Wessex.
We will have our Living History encampment set up throughout the weekend, you can come and talk to our reenactors and crafters about life in Early Medieval Cornwall and maybe even mint yourself a Launceston penny!

On Saturday and Sunday we will have our warriors displaying combat with a weapons display/Skirmish in the morning and the main battle in the afternoon! (Times subject to change so please see the board in our camp to confirm) For the younger vikings we will host Kiddie Vike at lunchtime, this is an opportunity for under 10s to come and face our ferocious Vikings and learn how to fight together in the shield wall!

Earth Weave Garden: An interactive space where festival goers of all ages can relax and weave their wishes into beautiful handmade woven tapestries together.

Vintage children’s merry-go-round: We have a traditional children’s carousel with 12 brightly painted wooden horses bringing excitement and thrills to the brave young rider.

Dr. Watson’s Vintage Coconut Shy: Throwing Game, Test Your Skill, Try your Luck!

Pollen Trike: Mobile Interactive art and sound installation with Bug dancers, raising awareness for the bugs and bees. Everyone is invited to join the Creature Carnival parade!

Wool and Wood: Crochet delights and locally sourced lathe-worked wooden sculptures. There will be demonstrations to watch on the traditional lathe, and crochet workshops.

Human beatbox workshops: Fun for kids and adults! Let’s make some noise! Find us in Frolicking Freedom Play.

Frolicking Freedom Play: This is a cosy little nook within the Sanctuary which offers a home from home, Play room experience. Toys, books, sandpit and mini tipi dens where children and families can relax, read a book, build a tower, make a sandcastle or just sit and take a moment to recharge.

Planet Project: Free Nature-based workshops for all the family offering a variety of activities. There will be wild floristry, mud painting, natural dying with foliage, fungi villages, natural costume making (headdresses and masks), wooden musical shakers, bug hunting, recycled bottle water filters and many more…

Nature Crafts: We offer a relaxed space for children (and adults!!), to come and explore their creativity using natural materials.

Old Ivy Kitchen: The homely hub of The Sanctuary, where you’ll discover a welcoming space. Nourish your soul with fresh colourful salads and paninis, then treat yourself to the most delicious, lovingly handmade cakes with a cup of tea! This year we will be bringing our Kombucha Bar, so come and get yourself a refreshing healthy drink 🙂

Tibetan Memories: Delicious homemade, healthy, tasty Tibetan Food! Curries, dahl, momos and Tibetan-inspired breakfasts. All plant-based.

 

HEALERS SPACE

Halcyon Therapies Cornwall: Ellen will be offering deeply relaxing seated Indian Head massages or super soothing foot massages from her cosy bell tent.

Blissfully Yoga: Thai Massage from my beautiful 5m Canvas Tent space in total privacy. This is an ancient technique, comprising of a mix of pressure points and lovely big Yoga style stretches. As this massage is performed while you are fully clothed, comfy, stretchy clothing is highly recommended.

Thirteen: In our nurturing, shared massage space you’ll find world class therapists, high end quality products and exotic scents to calmly stimulate senses…
