1 on 1 Blacksmithing Sessions

Join the Cornish Blacksmiths Collective for another year at ‘The Forge’. Offering short one to one blacksmithing sessions for anyone over the age of 10. Work with a Professional Blacksmith to forge out a bespoke item using skills unchanged for millennia. Turn up on the day to make a decorative coat hook or Pre book to make a more complicated item.

You will have the opportunity to work with a professional blacksmith to make a small item using traditional skills unchanged for millenia. You can pre book your session to make a beautiful toasting fork, or fire poker, or sign up on the day to make a decorative hook with us.

Three forges are available for each time slot, to book your session, click the button on the right, select the day, then the time that you require and follow the payment instructions.

No previous experience is required and safety equipment will be provided, however you must be wearing sensible shoes and non flammable clothes.

This ticket is for the forging session only and does not include admission to the Great Estate Festival. Tickets cost £40 for a half hour session (booking and card fees are included). Booking for 2025 open now. BOOK HERE

The Cornish Blacksmiths Collective, formed in 2005 by local blacksmiths to promote the craft of blacksmithing at the Royal Cornwall Show. This led to us hosting one of the National Blacksmithing Competitions on the behalf of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.
