New for 2026, Dark Cornwall will create an immersive, magical woodland realm at this year’s Great Estate Festival.

For three days, a hidden corner of the festival will become something otherworldly. Storytellers will share Cornish and Celtic tales beneath the trees. Harp, fiddle, drum, and hauntingly beautiful voices will drift through the canopy. Creatures will stir in the undergrowth. By night, the realm will shift into something darker, stranger, and beautifully uncanny.

This is not a stage. It is not a scheduled set. It is a living space that exists beyond the veil. A place to wander, to listen, to sit awhile, to meet the Owlman, to stand before the great forest guardian and feel the atmosphere change as dusk falls.

The guardians of the forest are calling you. Come and sit for a while.
