Friday 29th May - Stage On The Green
Kate Hall is a singer/songwriter from Plymouth, UK
blending soulful vocals and piano-led pop with touches of R&B and indie grit. Influenced by artists like Amy Winehouse, KT Tunstall, Fiona Apple and Adele, her songs are heartfelt and honest, with a sound that’s both classic and current.
Kate continues to perform solo across the South West and, since 2024, has also been recording and gigging with a full band lineup. Her debut single ‘Take A Minute’ picked up airplay on BBC Introducing, and follow-up ‘Helpless’ was awarded Track of the Week.
In 2025 Kate opened for Fickle Friends in Plymouth on the first night of their grassroots venue tour, as well as opening the main stage at The Great Estate Festival for Friday headliners Happy Mondays.
In August 2025 Kate opened The View stage with her band at Boardmasters Festival for BBC Introducing in the southwest.
Kate receives ongoing support from the southwest BBC Introducing team and even made it to their Best of 2025 list.
Described by Clare Robinson of the Plymouth Herald as “one of the region’s finest new young singer/songwriters,” Kate is quickly becoming a standout voice on the southwest music scene.
2026 promises to be a big year for Kate and her band, with main stage bookings already in place for exciting southwest festivals such as Kernowfornia, Morvala, Rock Oyster and Plymouth’s own Sound Factory Festival with BBC Introducing.
